The Cut Barber & Styling Salon
SummaryHello, this is Tracy Buckley again. The Cut Barber and Styling Salon has called Hickory Hill home for over 13 years. Because of COVID-19, Mrs. Watson’s business was forced to close for almost three months. The loss of stylists and barber due to the pandemic has made paying overhead expenses challenging forcing her to cover rent and utilizes costs from her personal savings.
Mrs. Watson’s stabilization and recovery plan include offering 6 months of booth rent specials for new stylists and barbers. Currently she has 4 stylists that pay X amount a month. She is installing sanitizing stations and requiring temperature checks when anyone enters the salon. To let customers know that the shop is open, she has ordered a banner to hang outside of door that reads WE MISS YOU! The shop is now selling hair pieces and hair products to go in a vending machine that used to house snacks and beverages.
The NEED Grant funds will be used for rent, salaries, and shop overhead expenses.
